AUDITORIUM :

SIMS has a spacious and fully air conditioned auditorium in the college premises with an area of about 800 sqm and seating capacity of around 600. The auditorium has all modern audio visual aids like Modern projectors with a Digital Sound System, OHPs, LCD screens, microphones, collar mikes etc. It hosts various socio cultural events like annual day, farewells & welcome parties and academic events like conferences, workshops & CME’s and examinations throughout the year.

LECTURE THEATRES:

SIMS has state of art, fully air conditioned Lecture Theatres with all audio visual aids like LCDs, OHPs, White boards, microphones, collar mikes, facilities of e-classes & virtual classes etc.

CENTRAL RESEARCH LAB (CRL)

Central Research Lab of SIMS, under the control of the Principal, is well equipped with advanced research facilities for students and faculty.

PCR LAB

There is a state of art PCR Lab in SIMS under the control of Microbiology Department.

MEDICAL EDUCATION UNIT (MEU)

The Medical Education Unit of SIMS, with the Principal of Medical College as its Chairman, regularly holds workshops to upgrade the teaching skills of the faculty members. The unit members and co-ordinators have undergone training in National and Regional Workshops organized by MCI. The MEU presides its meetings 4 to 5 times in a year to provide oversight on the educational activities and ensure continuous quality improvement in Medical education. MEU Department is spread over an area of more than 150 sqm with all modern audio visual aids. MEU Department also harbours latest books and journals on medical education.

CANTEEN

Apart from Hospital canteen, the college block also has a canteen which supplies delicious and hygienic refreshments to student & staff members.

EXAMINATION HALL

The examination hall of SIMS is fully air conditioned and is constructed over an area of 250 sqm with a seating capacity for 250 students. It is well equipped with CCTV cameras and mobile jammers.

ANIMAL HOUSE

Department of Pharmacology maintains a licensed animal house for experimental work on animals for demonstration to the students.

CENTRAL PHOTOGRAPHIC SECTION

There is a Central Photographic and Audio-visual Section with accommodation for studio, dark room, enlarging and Photostat work.

CENTRAL WORKSHOP

Central Workshop has Electrical & Bio Medical Engineering Departments with facilities for repair of mechanical, electrical and electronic equipments of the college and hospital.
